iWave, Inc. was founded in 2002 by telecommunications consultants Frank Madonna and Robert McGuire on the premise that in an era of great telecommunications complexity, all businesses deserve a high level of contact, support and outside expertise. Based in New York City, the company serves customers throughout the Northeast and across the U.S.

Managing partners Madonna and McGuire have worked together for a total of 20 years and combine for more than 60 years of telecom experience.

Frank Madonna, managing partner
A recognized business leader, Frank Madonna brings to the management team of iWave more than 25 years of telecommunications industry expertise and customer advocacy. His natural ability to create successful solutions for customer service, retention and process management has enabled Madonna to consistently meet multi-million dollar business targets.

Before iWave, Madonna served as senior vice president of Operations for ECI Conferencing where his responsibilities included the management of a sales and marketing program that surpassed $40 million in annual revenues. As senior vice president of Strategic Planning with Global Crossing, Madonna managed globally deployed staff and a $1 billion dollar sales and marketing program. As senior vice president of National Accounts Sales with Winstar Communications, Madonna was responsible for wholesale and field operations and the opening of 15 new markets.

Madonna’s professional contributions also include executive-level management at MCI where he was instrumental in directing and managing multiple Fortune 100 accounts with $200 million in annual sales. Most recently, Madonna served as president, Global Sales, at the telecommunications expense management firm, Telwares.

Robert (Bob) McGuire, managing partner

With more than 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry, Bob McGuire brings to iWave an ability to lead energetic, results-oriented teams and design innovative solutions that meet specific customer needs.

Most recently, McGuire served as executive vice president, Mobility Services, at the telecommunications expense management (TEM) firm, Telwares. Prior to Telwares, Mr. McGuire was Chief Operating Officer of Ricochet Networks, a high speed wireless internet technology company purchased out of Chapter 11. As COO, Mr. McGuire was responsible for the recovery and reactivation of nationwide wireless assets.

Previously, Mr. McGuire served as COO for start-up Winstar Communications, where he was responsible for several early development initiatives including the build-out of the first ten Winstar markets using 38GHz fixed wireless technology. Mr. McGuire was also responsible for creating Winstar’s national sales and field operations organizations.

Mr. McGuire also served in executive sales for both Merck Medco and MCI. At Merck Medco, Mr. McGuire managed more than 1500 clients in the company’s prescription drug program, representing more than $1.8 billion in annual revenues. At MCI, Mr. McGuire was responsible for building the Northeast National Accounts organization and was instrumental in winning more than 20 national account contracts valued at $500 million.
